Cooking 4 a Cure

Cooking 4 a Cure was a truly unique event hosted by David Ryan, Chef-Owner of R. Davidson Chophouse, T-Town Cafe, & Southern Dining Resources. The event was held to help fund research through The IBC Network Foundation. David’s first wife, Heather, died of IBC in 2014, at the age of 32. You can read more about Heather here: https://www.theibcnetwork.org/heather/. Her best friend, Stephanie,  wrote a touching guest post for us in 2017 titled The Perception of Awareness.

This exquisite multi-course wine dinner was prepared by a line-up of local chefs and paired perfectly with an array of amazing wines from Alabama Crown Distributing Company, International Wines & Craft Beer, Pinnacle Imports, United-Johnson Brothers of Alabama, and Rush Wines.

Terry Arnold, founder of The IBC Network Foundation, attended the event and summed it up like this: “It was such a pleasure to see such a wonderful turn out for #cooking4acure last night at R Davidson Chophouse! The chefs, people, and food were all amazing. One of the best meals I’ve ever had!”

Thank you again to everyone who braved the weather to show support, all of the sponsors and the talented local chefs from R Davidson Chophouse, Southern Ale House, Half Shell Oyster House, Tuscaloosa, River, Aramark, Bon Appetit Management Company, & The University of Alabama.
