Camp for Kids

kids at camp Kids whose parents have cancer can often deal with emotional, developmental, social and academic concerns. Camp Kesem is a summer camp that recognizes and embraces the children that are often overlooked by the affects of a parent’s cancer.

Camp Kesem, started in 2000 and has grown to 54 active chapters in 27 states. Each chapter is run by college students at a university, whose goal is to give the campers a fun-filled week and provide support and needed attention.

Some of the activities the children experience would be rope courses (high & low), arts and crafts, sports, water activities and adventure/nature. Each group rotation is led by program counselors that plan a variety of exciting events for the week.

These programs are offered free of charge, but donations to support Camp Kesem are welcome.
