The Ultimate IBC Meet Up is an adult gathering, and attendees must be 18 years of age or older. We understand that some parents may feel their child or teen is mature enough to participate, and we respect that every family knows their child best. However, this policy applies to all attendees and exceptions cannot be made based on an individual’s maturity level.
The Meet Up includes discussions about intimate, personal, and sometimes difficult topics related to inflammatory breast cancer. We want every participant to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences, and speaking openly without worrying about who may be in the room.
Even when a young person is mature enough to understand the discussion, their presence may cause another attendee to hold back from sharing something personal or sensitive because they do not want to discuss certain topics in front of someone under 18.
For that reason, we ask that you please make other arrangements for anyone under 18 so that the Meet Up can remain a safe, open, and comfortable environment for everyone.
