We are excited to see that MD Anderson announced yesterday their newly approved IBC treatment algorithm. Previously IBC was a single flow chart within the general breast cancer algorithm, but due to the expertise derived from over 10 years of being the world’s foremost IBC specialized center, MD Anderson advocated for a separate document. This comprehensive IBC-specific guide covers diagnosis and workup, systemic therapy (chemo +/- targeted therapy), surgery, radiation and adjuvant therapy.
The entire IBC multi-disciplinary team at MD Anderson had input into this, and we are excited to share this vital information about their science-driven standard of care.
Also announced yesterday, MD Anderson was once again voted #1 in cancer care in the US News and World Report’s annual Best Hospital Survey. Congratulations!
